My Moontime™ Period Tracker Recenzje App

Personal journey

I loved using this app as an introduction to my cycle in a positive way. It helped me learn which phase I was in, and what that meant for me physically and emotionally, which led to me finding all about the superpowers each phase offers. It also allowed me the option to download my data before canceling (felt like I’d up leveled enough to tune into myself without an app), which I appreciated. I didn’t mind paying the low monthly fee since it is an app with personal information, and after all, if it’s free, you’re the product.

devs: please keep going!

as a spiritual gray-a woman i wanted a period tracker app that does not assume i’m sexually active or trying to conceive, but understands i’m tracking my menstrual cycle to connect with myself. i like the moon phases and evolution of my cycle being connected, i like tracking how that impacts my energy throughout the month, and i have a self-led work schedule, was looking for an app that would help me sync my work habits throughout the month with the moon and menstrual cycle, not be about not getting pregnant or sex habits. i’m not having sex and don’t focus on that; i’m about tracking for myself and the flow of my own life. the concept is very good and will cause people who resonate with it to give the app a lot of passes because it’s different and is unique and different in how it handles period tracking, and the belief behind it. i’m writing this review because i like the concept a lot, and i want the developers to invest the money they would need to dump into this to turn this from someone’s side project into something like Stardust as far as UX and design, which i found after i uninstalled this one and am currently using. i would use this app and possibly consider paying for it if it was treated as seriously as far as UX and design go as the alternatives in the marketplace, but it’s currently clunky and not sleek, and i can see and feel this in a way that makes me choose other options over it. i also don’t think most users or the project leaders themselves understand design or UX and the potential here or how it changes public perception and how usable an app feels the way a team of professional developers do. i would love to see what a team of female-led, full time, professional app designers do to this if they were to invest in user research and things to turn this into something exceptional and polished to turn it from a side project into a full on product that’s at the same level as other period trackers in the marketplace

Poor Functionality

This app is esthetically pleasing but that’s about where the buck stops. The functionality of the app is poor. It lacks the ability to input information without jumping through hoops to track the flow of changing bodies properly. I wanted to love it so I tried it again but it’s just frustrating to use and input or change data. I’m over it

Not quite

Love love love the idea of this app but unfortunately it misses the mark on the main need. When I enter in my last menstruation, the app does not calculate my current phase and it does not predict my future menstruation based on my data. Upon downloading the app, the app assumes I’m currently on day 3 of my period and will not calculate based upon my entered data.

Confusing to use, not accurate or user friendly

Cool concept but will be looking for something else. It’s hard and confusing to use, I reached out to support for help and they never got back to me. Unless your cycle is never late sure.. it can work but it cannot be adjusted and then gets messed up if it’s like 4 days after then you need to log two periods? Overall, no thank you. Too frustrating

Clunky, but they “get it.”

The people behind the app “get it”. Outstanding concept that actually addresses the point. “How might I expect to feel/think/be during this point of my menstrual cycle? Is the moon involved in my cycle, and how does that effect me?” Really looking forward to watching to progression of the app as the developers figure out the technical sides of it. The app is unforgiving for those who aren’t entirely informed on the core data about their cycles. There’s no way to adjust how many days on average your cycles are or how long your average period is after you initially set it up without signing out and making a new account. There’s also no way to indicate when you period starts unless you’re adding an already-complete bleed cycle.

Incorrect expected period marker

When I corrected my actual period it didn’t adjust my expected period. It still showed my period in two weeks from when I just had it. It’s been doing that for some months. I wish it would correctly reflect when I can expect my next period. Because it doesn’t correctly rede let this I don’t think I can trust the other markers such as when it says I’m ovulating etc.

Amazing resource for women!

This is such a great app. I have used it regularly for a few years and there have been many new features and updates. It is such a powerful and easy to use tool to track your cycle, moods, energy, archetypes and more. and has helped me stay aware and empowered of my inner moon phases as well as the lunar phases! Could not recommend enough and am very grateful it was created for women by women. Thanks!!

Beware “free trial”

My account was charged 5 days into my 7-day free trial, before I had decided for sure whether to cancel. (I like the idea of this app , but it isn’t robust enough to really be useful, from what I could tell in a few days.)

Great intuitive app for women

I love the design of this app. It’s simple and down to point - it doesn’t only track your cycle but it keeps track on moon cycle and gives you supportive affirmation.

Fantastic App, highly recommended!

All issues have been resolved with the newest version of this app. It has quickly become my favorite menstruation tracking app and has been on par with my cycles. It’s fun, interactive and has helped me become so much more in tune with my body. Not to mention, the new graphics are an awesome bonus. Take pride in your period and your body. Give this app a try! Love it!

It’s not free but it’s worth it.

I really enjoy this app and find it useful to track the phases of my hormonal menstrual cycle, not just when I’m bleeding. It helps me navigate and understand my moods. And it helps with my relationships too. I like that this app helps me look at my cycle in a positive perspective, especially since that’s not the current norm. The onboarding directions were great. I also liked the low cost subscription (much more affordable then other period tracker apps out now). I also enjoyed that this app doesn’t sell my data and bombard me with ads. I get that all apps are a business and need money to stay in business. But I’d rather pay the business then have my private menstrual data sold off to who knows where. I’ve been recommending this app to all my friends!

Learned my lesson!

I thought it would sync with my period... It doesn’t... A waste of time!

Does not track accurately when cycle is between two months

I am so disappointed because I love the idea of this app but it is never accurate. Even though I have been adding my actual date, the expected is off and doesn’t adjust. This is especially inaccurate when the start of a new cycle is taking place between the end and beginning of month.

I just don’t get it.

I use other moon calendars to track my cycle so the concept is not new to me. But this app is so difficult to navigate! The layout and concept are beautiful, but it’s an unfortunate waste of money. I’ve tried for several months and still Don’t know how to log my cycles in this app. Save your pennies and try a different tracker app, like Flo or PTracker, both of which are waaaaaaaaaay easier to use. (As if we need anything else difficult while cramping and bloating!)

Good in theory, needs technical updates

I love the idea of this app but there is nowhere for me to change the dates of my cycle so it’s not accurate. I got this app to track my cycle and learn my cycle length. I didn’t realize that I wouldn’t be able to go back and edit the average length of my cycle, which turns out to be longer than the number I put in initially. If they make it possible to go back and edit my info, it would be a great app. Just needs some technical improvements.

gross & sexist customer response

I downloaded this app excited by the concept, and with full intentions to use it. decided to scroll through reviews before doing so and saw the app developers response to corina below. (february 2020 in “most helpful”) really? implying that her entirely valid criticism after having issues with the app for months was her overreacting because of PMS? not a good look. sounds like something a chad would say. you have a slew of bad reviews.. maybe it’s time to listen to the feedback. especially since you’re making people pay for it. I will not be using this app. and no, this is not a “challenging” time in my cycle. just in case you were wondering.

Period tracking is off

I really loved having this app but noticed if my period comes early (in the same month for example) I’m not able to adjust it and it messes the whole prediction and synchronization with the moon cycle. I love the idea behind it with the affirmations and syncing with the moon phases and meanings behind it but the app needs to be fixed in order for it to be fully worth it/useful. I canceled my subscription and found another period tracking app that’s free so until it’s fully fixed I’ll be using that instead!

Love the concept but....

This app is great as long as your cycle is fully on time. Mine was a week late which is very unusual and when I put the new time of menstruating, it didn’t reflect the change in the days of my cycle. It still tells me that my next moon time will be a week before I can actually expect it. This doesn’t make sense to me. My other app adjusts when my body does. I really really want to like this app. I love the concept and I love the daily reminders of The different phases and archetypes. It just doesn’t work as far as showing you when you’re actually supposed to bleed again which is kind of the point. Right? If they sort this issue out then I would jump back on. But for now I will cancel... doesn’t make sense to keep some thing that isn’t actually tracking my timing.

Crooks

I’ve been trying to figure how to cancel this subscription for a week now. The sites faq’s won’t load and the contact email doesn’t work. I’m having to continue to pay for this app I no longer want!

Not a free app

I do not appreciate putting all my personal information before being offered different package plans.

Fabulous idea, NOT well executed

I was worried it was just me, that I was the only one having difficulties navigating and using the app. The concept behind this app is beautiful and you can tell the creator really wanted to make something divinely feminine to help woman get in touch with that part of themselves. I believe it has potential to get there but right now it’s just not there. I started my bleed early this cycle and when I went to try to put that in, because my last bleeding stopped at the beginning of this month when I tried to input the start date for this bleed it took away my bleed from the beginning of the month.... it’s really just not user friendly. And I read in other comments replies from the developer about YouTube videos on how to navigate and use the app, I’m a busy person. I need an app that FLOWS for my flow with relatively low maintenance. I do not mind the charge for the app if the app worked for my needs. The moon phase in conjunction to my cycle can use some work as well. It all seems a little convoluted to me and again I don’t sense the natural flow that I would expect from an app like this. I do not say all of this from a place of anger spite or anything like that! If some changes were made to get this where it can be I’d happily keep paying for it. I encourage you to keep up the hard work you are doing. The idea behind this is so beautiful and I really really want to patronize 1) Woman owned companies and 2) companies focused on the divine feminine. Please keep doing updates and making changes, and take these reviews as constructive criticism that can help you meet these needs! Thank you for this app, I can’t wait to see what it’s like in time, I will keep checking back to see what changes have been made! 🙏🏼

Needs work!

I was excited about this app until I subscribed. I don’t feel like it was worth $2 a month. I can get my own charts and do my own affirmations with a bullet journal.

It’s ok

I would rather that the app have the options of different moods rather than just low, medium, or high. Example mood: happy, sad, frustrated...that would be more helpful to tracking emotions. Also I’m willing to deal with ads for a free app

I hate to give bad reviews

I paid for this app and today I’m deleting it. It is not user friendly and I can’t adjust my cycle without deleting and re installing app or contacting the developer. It shouldn’t be this hard to track. Sadly not satisfied which breaks my heart because I can tell the developer cares a lot about the product.

It free at all

Don’t waste your time, it seems to be free but after you input info a payment is required to move forward. Waste of time

Deleting before trying

I dislike subscriptions. I filled out all my information to end up with a subscription screen. I like to just buy apps outright to own them. Bummed I wasted time

Not satisfied

This app has not been what I expected. I am working with an acupuncturist as well as my holistic ob gyn and they recommend I use a tracker. Not this one in particular. I initially choose this because it resonates with the divine feminine. As they should be aware not all women have regular cycles. I have pcos and my cycles are irregular. This app does not allow me to track this properly. It prevents me from inputting my bleeding during the times I am active and throws the rest of the projected days off. Even when I input the initial data in they requested. I wish I never purchased. I did the annual subscription and am stuck with it until sept. I unsubscribed from continued use. I just wish I could be reimbursed for the time wasted on this app. I do not recommend until they come with a better user friendly and diversified platform.

Inaccurate, Generic, condescending

You can’t enter in your place of birth there is only a pull down list of places so your chart can’t be accurate. The app isn’t accurate in the moon phases or your cycle. If you have irregular periods and are looking to track when it should be starting you can’t use this bc once you entered you started it changes the expected start day to they day you started. It’s not hard to understand that the expected start date and actual start date are different things. I appreciate them not selling your data but at the end of the day it’s useless so it’s not worth it

Love this app!

User friendly, wonderful app all women should have. I strongly suggest the download!

Great app for women!

I’ve tried a lot of trackers before but this one is the best. It feels like it gets me. Nice to know sometimes when I’m feeling a certain way that it’s just where I’m supposed to be!

I love this app!!

I purchased this app in order to track my period with cycles of the moon and I’m really impressed with its accuracy! The app is fast, beautifully designed and fulfills every single promise. Money well spent. Thanks My Moontime ❤️

Love this app ♥️

I love how in touch it keeps me with my own body - It’s seriously brilliant! I haven’t found another app that does it quite like this one, and not to mention I love the way the layout is. Definitely recommend to all women who like to be in touch with themselves!

I am obsessed

I love this app so much! It’s very rare you find an application that doesn’t bombard you with ads or steal your information. This app is not only private, but it does an amazing job of being in touch with me, mind, body, & soul! I highly recommend it. It’s extremely impressive, well thought out, brilliantly constructed, and all around a fabulous tool to use in my day to day life as a woman!

Annual Subscription = Huge Disappointment

I bought the annual subscription last year, and, even after the update some months ago, I still feel immensely dissatisfied. I am not really sure what I am paying for. At the very least, I expected to see the four phases of the lunar cycle on the month view to see how it coincides with my own cycle. In my opinion, the affirmations seem very generic, and, in general, there is no way that I can integrate this app into my own life. Furthermore, inputting my cycle as it starts has been unsuccessful until today. I finally managed to put in my start date (today) and it changed the expected start day to today, even though it reflected that it was expected days ago beforehand. My period was late, so what’s the point of having an expected start day when it will just change to the date of your actual cycle. Lastly, even though there is no free version of the app, I bought it with the awareness that I’d be supporting a company rooted in divine feminine wisdom. My goals is not to minimize this. I cannot, in good faith, let time pass without letting others know of my experience. My review is long overdue.

Crashes

As soon as I sign up for the subscription the app crashes. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and cancelling my subscription and resigning up a few time. It just keeps crashing.

Scam

Wanted to try the app. Signed up for a free trial/subscription, and then the app closed and keeps crashing whenever I try to open it. Cancelling it and uninstalling immediately. I’m disappointed because I heard about it through a witchy podcast I love and I feel really mislead.

Crashes

Paid for a year and the app crashes after I enter all my info. I’ve deleted the app and redone loaded it and it continues to crash. Don’t waste your money. I so wanted it to work and have tried for 2 weeks now. Please fix the issues!

Old app user kinda bummed

I was happy to pay for this app but I feel it’s lacking now. I can’t actually read the affirmations (it shows the first few words and...) or write in a daily journal. Bummer. As a period tracker I’m sure it’s great but this is not as good as it used to be unfortunately! Why was the old free version better?

Don’t advertise as free...

When you say you’re a free app with in app purchases, generally that means there’s at least a few things you can do without having to pay. It won’t let me do anything. Very disappointed because as far as I know this is the only holistic period tracker out there

It’s not working

Downloaded the app, sign in my information, chose the monthly subscription, and now I cant open the app again. When I click on it my phone goes darker but it never opens.

No longer works

Ever since the update, I can no longer say when my period starts and ends. It just shows the estimated start date (which is incorrect) and won’t let me add the actual start date rendering it useless. It also cuts off the bottom of the calendars so I can’t even see the entire month. I’m canceling my subscription and deleting the app now. There are better ones out there that are free anyway.

Didn’t use

Didn’t get to use the app. A subscription is required before even seeing the features. I love the idea of this app but I’m not willing to pay for a product I haven’t seen or tested. A free trial or “lite” version would be nice.

Ripoff

What a ripoff. I download this app and as soon as I click on it, it says “ your subscription has expired pay to update”. Totally not a free app! If it is y’all have bugs y’all need to fix!! 🗑

Update the app with more features!!

I don’t usually write a bad review about apps but omg was this one bad. I thought thought I was going to gain more knowledge on how my cycle and the moon intertwine in my life but this app was a huge disappointment. It’s geared to the more spiritual person but no benefit or knowledge about the moon or my cycle or something spiritual. I’m paying for the app once a month I thought that this app would just have more. It doesn’t. Don’t waste your time or your money!

A waste

I don’t mind paying for apps, for at least let me see what I’m paying for. Instantly you’re guided to pay. No thanks. I’ll stick to my other apps

Not free

And this should be stated before people waste their time downloading the app just to turn around and delete it.

I love the app but

I love this app but the fact that you have to subscribe before seeing if all the features fit your needs isn’t cool. In fact, one main feature that should be essential to tracking your cycle that I needed was the ability to write in notes daily about how I felt energetically moving through me. The archetypes are cool and supposed to fit the mode of the feminine cycle but through my own work manually with moon cycles and tracking is that it doesn’t always workout that way. So having the ability to notate gives for more accuracy and tracking.

Right on the money

This app correctly projected the date on which my moon cycle would start. It helped me understand the storm of emotions brewing in the days leading to my 🌔. And I was thus able to wield my tidal goddess power.
